Course Description
This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to enable them to assist a person suffering an anaphylactic reaction until medical assistance arrives.
Learning Objectives
- Define the term allergic reaction/anaphylaxis
- Recognition of allergy and anaphylaxis
- Signs and symptoms of allergic reaction
- Risk factors
- Provide first aid management of severe allergic reactions and anaphylaxis
- Develop risk minimisation and management strategies for allergic reaction and anaphylaxis
- Action Plans
- Use of adrenaline auto-injector devices Epi Pen® Ana Pen®
- Communicate detail of the accident to Emergency services
Course Prerequisites
Students must be at least 14 years of age at the time of attendance. There are no course pre-requisites for Anaphylaxis Epi pen training.
Course Details
The face to face training is 2 hours and covers both theory and practical aspects of Anaphylaxis Epi pen Training.
Students are required to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the course commencement or will be refused entry.

Certificate Validity
The certificate is valid for 12 months from the completion date.
Enrolment Confirmation
Once enrolled, Healthcorp will email students an Anaphylaxis Epi pen booking confirmation with venue details and maps, course requirements and terms of enrolment.
