Defibrillator (AED) Training
2 Hour Course in Automatic External Defibrillation
Training in Sydney, Regional NSW, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide
Course Description:
This course provides individuals with the knowledge and skills to enable them to effectively use an Automated External Defibrillator as part of the resuscitation process to a victim who has suffered a cardiac arrest.
Learning Objectives:
- The chain of survival
- Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA)
- Resuscitation techniques
- Safety issues relating to the AED
- Maintenance and use of the AED
- Perform CPR in line with ARC guidelines
Course Prerequisites:
Participants must be able to demonstrate current competence in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Students must be at least 14 years of age at the time of attendance.
Course Format:
The course is delivered in a theoretical and practical format.
Course Length:
2 hours.
Qualification Issued:
On successful completion of the course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally accredited course - 22101VIC Course in Automated External Defibrillation.
Certificate Validity:
Certification is valid for 12 months from the completion date.
