Ergonomic Assessments

An ergonomic assessment involves the evaluation of a workstation and the physical environment, and its interaction with the employee.

Healthcorp's Physiotherapists can undertake ergonomic assessments of workplaces, including manual handling and workplace design, and suggest practical control measures. We regularly conduct workstation assessments of employees who perform computer-based work.

We provide an extensive range of fully accredited First Aid, OH&S and safety training courses throughout Australia.

A Healthcorp Assessment includes:

Provide face to face assessments with each individual 'user'.

Study the way each user works addressing their posture, layout and usage of equipment and their working day.

Provide specific training in relation to these key areas, immediately putting right any 'wrongs' that can be solved there and then.

Evaluate the Healthcorp ergonomic checklist with each user and discuss problems.

Produce a soft and hard copy report of each assessment, together with any 'user' comments and assessor's recommendations.

Instruction is provided on injury prevention techniques, including suitable stretches and suggested rest breaks. A follow-up review may be conducted to ensure that recommendations are implemented.

Written report to management with recommendations.

Healthcorp has also developed an interactive ergonomic training course aimed at educating managers, supervisors and staff in the risks and responsibilities of working in the modern office which runs over 1-2 hours.
