A 4 day comprehensive course designed for Health & Safety Representative's, Managers, Supervisors and intending members of Workplace OH&S Committees. |

| Course Description: |
To
provide participants with knowledge of relevant legislation covering
OHS in the workplace, and how to utilise provisions of that legislation
to remedy health and safety concerns. The course also provides participants
with knowledge and understanding of both employer and employee responsibilities
in relation to OHS in the workplace. |

| Learning Objectives: |
Demonstrate
knowledge of legislation applicable to OHS in the workplace. Demonstrate knowledge of employer, employee and third party responsibilities in relation to OHS in the workplace. Describe the principles and of workers' compensation and rehabilitation, and the employer's responsibility under the legislation. Describe the process involved in accident investigation. Describe how the application of OHS legislation can be used to remedy health and safety concerns in the workplace. Demonstrate knowledge of the management of specific workplace risks and hazards. Conduct, and report on, a specified workplace inspection. |

| Target Audience: |
The
training is primarily for those participants who are elected as
NSW workplace health and safety representatives, and as such there
are no prerequisites for the training. |

The
course includes a balanced content of theory and class participation
through the examination of case studies, open discussion and practical
application. |

| Requirements for Completion: | Attendance
at all sections of the course. Complete a multi-choice theoretical assessment. |

| Venue: | Held
at Healthcorp training rooms. For groups of 10 or more we can train on-site. |

| Qualification issued: | Statement of Completion, presented on a certificate. | ||||||||||
| Legislative Authorisations: |
Course
content is approved by WorkCover NSW, and conforms to NSW Occupational
Health and Safety legislation. The course is nationally recognised
through inclusion on the ANTA National Training Register. |
